About Me
My name is Michael Anderson. I am a teacher/coach at Woodlawn High School in Rison, AR. I have been teaching high school math, Alg I, Geometry, Alg II, Pre-Calculus, College Algebra, and AP Calculus, for the last 12 years. I have also spent three years at the middle school level teaching middle level math. I currently hold a B.S. in Secondary Education from Kansas State University, and two Master's degrees in education from Arkansas State University. Beyond the classroom, I have also tutored privately over the last 15 years. Areas of tutoring covered basic 7th grade math all the way up to college level Calculus and College Algebra. I have also tutored students on such math portions of the ACT. Many of my students have seen increases of 2-3 pts in their math score, on these tests, my tutoring sessions. When I'm not in the classroom or tutoring, I also get the opportunity to help coach my schools JR/SR high football team. This allows me to connect with my many of my students in a different way and share in a passion of mine.
