About Me

Hello! My name is Cadence, and I am a junior at the University of Houston. I will graduate in 2027 with teaching certification, and I am very passionate about education! I have been tutoring for two years, and it has ranged from 2nd grade to 8th grade in both English and mathematics. I also have experience working with students on the autism and ADHD spectrums. I believe that our current education system has an imbalanced perspective on maintaining perfection that causes many students to burn out of education from an early age. Therefore, it is my joy to try to make education not just about grades (which are important!), but about comprehension, growth, and integrity. I love what I do and will go the distance to ensure that every child I encounter can walk away with developed confidence, both academically and personally. I am always open for feedback from both students and parents, and try to respond as quickly as I can!
