About Me

I'm a recent graduate of Columbia University, where I earned my BA in Film Studies. I've been making films since the 8th grade and currently writing, directing, and editing my own shorts, music videos, and documentaries. Even though I'm out of school for now, I'm eager to help younger students learn and succeed. Even though I'm a humanities gal, I love and miss math. It's so satisfying to determine what 'x' equals instead of arguing endlessly controversial topics; I love doing both. Outside of film and tutoring, I love to dance both ballet, modern, and to whatever songs my roommates and I play. I would love to be your tutor. I have been working with Varsity for the last 4 years and have watched and learned how the standardized tests have changed. I'm extremely passionate about learning to work the convoluted system that makes up college applications and teaching others what I've learned. I love learning and school and I hope I can help you feel the same way. I will motivate you to push yourself to reach your goals and be there to encourage you in all areas. I'm open to tutor all middle school and high school standardized tests as well as essay editing and math tutoring. I hope we can work together!

Q&A with Clio

I want my students to understand the answers they're filling in. In order to do this, I make sure they thoroughly comprehend the concepts I teach them by using different strategies and techniques for one subject or subtopic. How would you help a student stay motivated? I show my students how well they can do and how much they can improve when they try during the sessions so that they will stay motivated to do their homework and keep improving. If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
