About Me

I am a graduate of Rutgers University New Brunswick and received my Bachelor of Science in accounting. I tutor accounting, business, elementary math, arithmetic, middle school math, pre-algebra, algebra 1, english, ESL for chinese students, and others. I have experience tutoring students from kindergarten to college. While I was in high school, I tutored students in math; when I was in college, I tutored accounting to my peers. When it comes to tutoring, I do not believe that there is one set teaching method for every student. The only thing I make sure to do with all of my students is to listen, to be patient, and to be encouraging. I try to understand what they currently know about a subject, where they are having difficulty, what their learning style is, and then I adjust my teaching style accordingly so that they can understand the material with confidence. In addition to tutoring, I have also given presentations and training to other colleagues in my career. Furthermore, at the church I attend, I have taught Sunday school to children in elementary school and Bible Study to high school students and college students. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading, listening to music, watching movies, and traveling. I am also a firm proponent of continuous self-improvement.
