About Me

As a 2014 graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelors in Music (Music Therapy), I am a licensed and practicing Music Therapist in North Atlanta. I began my undergraduate career studying Music Performance and Commercial Music, but eventually chose to study Music Therapy because it combined my love for music and helping others. As a music therapist, I have had many diverse experiences that shape the way I interact with others that transfer naturally to tutoring. I enjoy finding common ground with individuals and using that as a tool to teach by reframing material in a way that is applicable and easily understandable. Music and English/Writing are my favorite subjects to tutor in, as they were my strongest subjects in school, and I also tutor in basic mathematics and enjoy helping others develop strong study skills. Outside of academic subjects, I enjoy the outdoors, biking, running, and hiking. In my spare time I also enjoy playing music, going to events having to do with the arts, and making (or eating) food!
