My academic background is grounded in both technical problem-solving and a deep curiosity about how systems, whether digital or human, function. I am a graduate student currently working on my Master's Degree in Big Data Systems.

I am a student at the Barrett Honors College, a part of Arizona State University. I expect to earn my Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a focus on physics in December 2022. While my degree has had a heavy focus on physical sciences, I have also completed a variety of coursework in social and life sciences to prepare for my post-graduation plans. After graduation, I hope to earn either a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or a Master of Science in Entry to Nursing Practice and begin work as a pediatric nurse. I decided to change my path from mathematics and physics to nursing because I perform best and feel happiest when I am working with others, which is why I am so excited to have the opportunity to be a tutor. I first realized my passion for people-centered work in high school when I volunteered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation to help educate financial donors and newly diagnosed families on the science of type 1 diabetes. My passion grew throughout my time in college, during which I joined a division of a Rotary club, which matches people of all ages with service projects within their local community, became a teaching assistant for a Socratic-seminar discussion and writing course for freshmen in Barrett Honors College, and worked as a student researcher in a physics lab, where I had to collaborate with my colleagues to address research problems and clearly present my specific field of work to others who were less well versed in the topic.

I'm passionate and interested about the subjects I teach and tutor, and I believe strongly in showing my students how interesting those subjects can be and how enjoyable it is to learn. I've been tutoring my friends, peers, and neighbors since I was in high school all the way until I graduated from ASU this year with a bachelor in Conservation Biology. I'm most comfortable teaching biology, chemistry, physics, math, and history, and I believe that the purpose of a tutor is not to do the student's homework, but to teach them to do it themselves.

I am a second year student at Emory University working towards a B.S. in Physics and Mathematics. I tutor in all levels of physics and math, and specialize at the high school AP and SAT level. I am studying Chemical Biology in UC Berkeley. One of my passions is Organic Chemistry, which I used to loath but now enjoys after taking a year of it. Also, because I like helping others, I enjoys tutoring/teaching students who are struggling. During high school, I have tutored other high students after school on various subjects such as Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Latin. During college, I have held informal review sessions for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry for my underclassmen. I tutored my roommate and one of my underclassmen in Organic Chemistry. I am currently in the process of obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in pure mathematics at Rice University in Houston, Texas. I tutor a wide range of subjects including U.S. History, algebra, calculus, chemistry, comparative politics, economics, and test preparation. Although I enjoy tutoring in all of these subjects, I especially like tutoring math-related subjects such as high school algebra, calculus, and linear algebra. Outside of class and tutoring, I enjoy golfing, stargazing, collecting foreign coins, and playing the violin.

I am a rising senior at Duke University. I major in Computer Science and am also getting a minor in Physics. I have had experience tutoring/teaching as a teaching assistant for three classes: Intro to Databases, Electricity and Magnetism (for engineers), and Computer Network Architecture. I have had industry experience in software development as an intern for IBM and a cybersecurity analyst for TIAA. Outside of school/work, I play the piano and train with the Duke Taekwondo Club. I'm a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, majoring in Physics and Classics and minoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. I'm qualified to teach a wide variety of subjects, but prefer to focus on the fields I'm studying in school listed above; I have a passion for those areas that I want to share with everyone, no matter the education level or confidence. I believe that no one is "bad at math," but many people haven't been taught math and science concepts in a way that matches how they best learn. As a result, I try to tailor my teaching style to be the best it can be for each individual student. With regard to math and physics, I myself prefer a physical, graphical understanding of different concepts, so I do best at explaining what seemingly abstract concepts actually mean in the real world and how they act on a graph.

I am a current (though almost graduated) student in Chemical Engineering at Georgia Tech. I absolutely love teaching and tutoring, and I have 3 years experience tutoring and just over a year's experience in being a teacher's assistant. I am current master's student pursuing an advanced degree in environmental engineering. I have about 3 years of experience tutoring a standard math and science curricula to students ranging in age from 7-17. I attended college at Washington University in St. Louis receiving a degree in mechanical engineering and energy engineering in 2020. I'm currently a PhD student in economics at Yale University. I also have a BS in physics and math from Yale. Other subjects I enjoy are history, geography, and philosophy, and I dabble in photography and baking. I am an undergraduate student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and I have tutored students since my early high school years. I've had experience instructing and guiding a variety of students, from young middle schoolers taking their first steps into the world of computer programming to my own peers struggling with their calculus exams.
