I have a teaching degree with a B.A. major in Liberal Arts and minor in Biology. Currently, I am working toward a Master's Program in Communication Sciences and Disorders.I have taught middle school for four years. Over the past three years, I have taught science in a 6th grade classroom. Prior to teaching, I worked for six years in a hospital as a Pharmacy Technician. I have worked with artists such as the New York Voices, Esperanza Spalding, Wynton Marsalis, Rossano Galante, Julie Giroux, Mark Camphouse, and many others through numerous masterclasses and performances. I currently work for Carnegie Hall Music Educators Workshop as a Classroom Connections facilitator and advisor. At FHHS, I assists in music ensembles as a percussion liaison and teaches the class "Music Interpretation" This class is a curriculum I developed based on the studies of popular culture, musicology, and music philosophy, where non-music students receive the opportunity to learn to compose, perform, analyzation and appreciate music from around the world through different perspectives and inclusive discussions.
