I have helped students get into Ivy League schools as well as other top universities across the country with top scholarships. I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, from which I received my Masters in Biomedical Engineering. I received my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, from BITS Pilani, India. I paid for my Masters by working as a Teaching Assistant, Grader and tutor. I have also volunteered to teach kids who were in poverty and help adults who were slow learners. I have always had a passion for teaching Math, Physics, Yoga, 2d and 3D graphics editing software and all aspects of programming software. I am a firm believer in the philosophy, "If the learner has not learned, then the teacher has not taught."

I currently live in Kansas City, MO. I went to high school in a small southeast Kansas town, but I have always considered Kansas City my home. I originally majored in Atmospheric Sciences. I have always had an obsession with the fascination of weather phenomena. However, I changed my major to Mathematics. I wanted to have a more diverse degree for career opportunities. I will say that I would love to go back and take some weather forecasting classes just for the fun of it. I work full time in the fund accounting business in downtown Kansas City. I love my job! During my time at W&J, I had many extraordinary study abroad opportunities that supplied me with exceptional interpersonal skills with people from around the world. Additionally, these experiences further increased my interest in languages and traveling. After graduating, I decided that I wanted to continue exploring the world, so I studied to receive my TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from ICAL TEFL Online. Having spent two years now teaching English in both Hong Kong (Lingnan University) and France (Lycee Andre Argouges), I am ready to bring my tutoring abilities back to the States, and help others with both the French language and culture. My love for French stemmed from studying it in school, and since then it had always been my dream to live there and experience life in France; I hope I can share the same excitement for the language to future students.Thanks to teaching various groups of students, I've learned how to find different means to teach them in a way that they would understand. Building a safe and comfortable relationship with my students helps them open up and ask questions when they're unsure, instead of pretending that they get it. I strive to have my students understand the concept, not just memorize how to solve a problem, but how to apply the concepts that are learned to solve problems.

Throughout my academic career, I always found ways to make hours of studying enjoyable by coming up with silly mnemonics, jokes, and puns about the material I would have to otherwise dryly trudge through. Whether it was my preparation for AP exam week, pre-med course midterms, MCAT, medical school finals, or my USMLE Step exams, I always found that the best way to manage stress, avoid burnout, and memorize material effectively was to make it fun rather than a chore. By combining my hobby of performing improvisational comedy with my passion for teaching, I've developed an engaging style of tutoring over my 3 years of experience as a college and med school TA. After graduation from St. George's University School of Medicine, I'll be pursuing an MBA in healthcare management and applying for residency in psychiatry, a field I'm deeply passionate about.
