This course provides students with knowledge and skills needed for college and career readiness. Topics include: recording short- and longterm assets, investments, and liabilities, managing inventory, establishing corporations, declaring and paying dividends, analyzing and interpreting financial statements, and evaluating ethical and legal issues. Accounting software and Microsoft Excel are integrated throughout the course.

This course focuses on the role of business in society, the changing nature of contemporary business practices, major management concepts, theories, and theorists, the processes of management (functional, operational, human relations), and business communications. Programming Fundamentals – G/T Grades 9, 10, 11, 12 1 credit In this course, students will explore the fundamentals of programming concepts and text-based coding using Python. It is predicated on the notion that learning about programming and computer science should be fun and engaging. In this course, students will be exposed to graphics-based problem solving because it is visually engaging, allows for multiple correct solutions, and provides visual cues when a solution goes awry. Additionally, students will be introduced to the Java programming language in order to prepare for additional course work in the academy.
