I am a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (Cal). I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on British and American Literature. I also received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with an A in the Honors Program. My program in philosophy was an advanced interdisciplinary program, requiring me to specialize in logic and the methodology of science; as such, I intensively studied:

I'm a writer and filmmaker by trade. I've been teaching and writing for over twenty years, have a variety of academic and non-academic interests including films, books, sports, music, travel, languages, art, theatre and many more. To be honest, I'm pretty much interested in everything in one way or another, whether it be academic or pop culture related. I speak three languages, have traveled extensively and come from a very academically oriented family.

I am currently in the honors program at USC to receive my masters in social work for clinical counseling. I believe I am patient, understanding and excellent at building foundations that will stay with you for a lifetime.

I am one of many Varsity Tutors. I attended Jesuit High School in Carmichael, CA where I graduated with a 4.3 GPA taking multiple AP and honors courses (AP Bio, Chem, Physics B, Gov, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, English Lit, and English Lang). I also participated in several tutoring organizations throughout high school.

I am currently completing a bachelor's of science in neuroscience at the University of Southern California. I will graduate from USC with honors in May, and although I am originally from the Midwest, I plan to stay in the Los Angeles area. My course background includes a full load of college-level premed courses (three years of biology, a full year of organic chemistry, biochemistry, etc.), and my favorite subjects are math, physiology, and writing.

I am a future medical student and recent engineering graduate, and I look forward to working with students in math and science.

I am especially drawn to the sciences, math and English. The love for the former two stems from years of education and interest in the sciences, and the latter harks even further back to my addiction to reading that I acquired in elementary school. I am a voracious reader, especially science fiction and fantasy, and many have told me that my affection for the language is infectious! I am available to work up to thirty hours per week. Friday through Sunday I would generally be free to tutor at any time; on Mondays, I am available during the day, and on Wednesdays, I am available from mid-afternoon (starting around three) through the evening. I am usually not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I would not need to take any month off.

I am currently in my third-year of dental school and will graduate as a dentist in 2017. My undergraduate degree focused on human biology.

I am a graduate of the University of Miami, where I received my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I also earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California Irvine.
