I am a recent graduate from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in Physics and Environmental sustainability. I minored in Astronomy and Math. My next step will be to peruse a PhD in astronomy. I have been tutoring for almost four years now. I tutor all types of people and subjects ranging from 7 to 65 years old, Astronomy, Physics, Pre-calculus, Calculus 1-3, differential equations, algebra, environmental science, and more! I mostly enjoy tutoring Astronomy, Physics, and Math, as my concentration throughout undergrad was astronomy.

I have taught small and large groups up to 25 people, and the most rewarding part every time is watching students be able to succeed on their own. When I tutor I try to make the concepts and material as intuitive and simple as possible. I like to go through some examples of material that my students provide, and if they ask me to, I can create additional materials for us to use. I also have my students try problems own their own during sessions. This is a great way for you to ask questions as a student as you work through the material. Through feedback from students I have found this to be the most effective method, but everyone is different.

Outside of school and work I spend most of my time doing computational and observational astronomy research with my former professors, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, going to the beach, reading, and using my telescope. Astronomy is a big part of both my work and personal life.
