About Me

Success, in school and life, are predominantly determined by grit and curiosity. This philosophy has developed from over 14 years in elementary education. I am a credentialed teacher with experience in a wide variety of K-6 grade levels and combinations, including multiple subject areas in Jr. High and tutoring. Good teachers are hard to find and many have trouble with the certification examinations. I want to help aspiring teachers overcome these blockers to their futures in education Passed the CBEST, CSET, TExES 4-8 and TExES EC-6 examinations Skilled in individualized and small group instruction Created, maintained and implemented Standards based report cards in my district for K-5th Experience with strategic, effective methods used to diffuse difficult situations with all age groups Helped create and teach STEM elective course for third and second grades with a specialization in computer coding. Attended, completed and synthesized the skills and strategies from a 3 year intensive math grant for North State Math Project Utilized Google educational tools, apps, and programs within my classroom including: sheets, google classroom, docs, and slides. I coached junior high girls volleyball for about 7 years and junior high boys basketball for 8 years. I have three wonderful children whom I love and a beautiful wife of 12 years. Relationship, whether that be family, friends, students, and colleagues are the support we all need to grow and become the best version of ourselves
