About Me

I am a 17 year public school educator in the state of Florida. I have taught elementary grades from preschool disabilities up to regular education fifth grade. I have experience teaching elementary reading, math, writing, social studies, and science. I also have experience teaching middle school reading and writing. All 17 years I have worked with students with disabilities. I work with students with learning disabilities, down syndrome, autism, communication disorders, behavioral issues and others. I have a degree in special education and my teaching licensure is an elementary education through sixth grade and kindergarten through 12th grade in special education. I also have an English as a second language endorsement and the reading endorsement in Florida. The last two years I have taught virtually. I have a greatly enjoyed getting to know the students on a deeper level and helping them thrive, both emotionally and academically, during these difficult times. I enjoy utilizing technology to enhance engagement with my students!
