Teaching and helping others has been a passion of mine since I can remember. I've been fortunate to have many great educators in my life and I am hoping to give back by helping others like myself.
My experience as an educator comes from working in KY public schools and providing private music lessons to students. I take great joy in watching my students grow and accomplish their dreams.
My education consists of two Masters degrees, one in Music Performance and the other is in Teaching. My Bachelors degree is in History with a minor in Music. I am currently working on my Doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Louisville.
I enjoy tutoring any topic related to music and history. I find both areas to be a joy to work in, and I can help students see things from different perspectives.
My teaching style consists of helping all my students connect to the subject matter through previous knowledge gained or through life experiences. I ask deeper level questioning to help my students to not only memorize the information, but to to truly learn it. I will also incorporate learning games to have some fun.
Outside of academia I love to go on hikes, watch movies, play games, spend time with family/friends, and spending time with the love of my life.
I look forward to getting to know you!
