I've been tutoring with Varsity Tutors for over 2 years, mostly as an ACT/SAT and K-12 English tutor. Although, I'm also comfortable teaching many social sciences, history, and humanities subjects. Previously, I also volunteered as an adult ESL tutor and taught 4th and 5th grade reading and math remediation for summer school. I have my bachelor's degree in English and political science from UNC, where I graduated summa cum laude. Go heels! My tutoring philosophy is to provide students with the learning strategies they need to master information in their studies and to foster lifelong independent learning skills. I want to help students be passionate about their education. Outside of academic interests, I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, cooking, and traveling. My favorite book is Emma, and my favorite city I've visited is Rome.
