What is your teaching philosophy?
Make students understand why we are learning something and relate it to a real- world example so that it cements it into memory!
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Find out where they are struggling, and define what they want to accomplish, then we strive for just beyond that!
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
If I can help make a student understand the why of a problem, then I can help them to learn how to always ask the right questions in the future for any problem.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
Constant feedback and explain the ramification of what they are accomplishing in life by learning something new.
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
Try another approach, tack into a different direction to change course to achieve the goal.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
Break down the words into Latin to understand the derivation of the root to understand context and metaphors.
