I am an educator passionate about language, literature, growth mindset and youth development. My favorite thing about teaching is watching students' progress academically as well as emotionally. I believe building confidence is just as important as building academic skills. I currently teach English as a Second a Language, however I am a licensed elementary school teacher and have had experience with all ages through my work at City Year (an education based non profit) and at YMCA Camp Minikani (where I served as a counselor and camp director). I love English and Social Studies most (specifically reading and writing in content areas) but have also loved teaching math and science! In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with family and friends, meditating, doing yoga, running, and learning to play guitar. I look forward to meeting and working with you!

I am currently a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and my major is Computer Science with a Math Emphasis. I tutor in Geometry, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, AB/BC Calculus, and Calculus 1.Math has always been my favorite subject in school and I have been tutoring people in math since I was in high school. Even though I have a passion for math, I have struggled with it from time to time and I understand how frustrating it can be. As a college student, I have taken a lot of math classes and I have learned many different methods of teaching various concepts. Sometimes students that are struggling just need the material to be presented in a different way.My tutoring style is entirely dependent on each student's learning style. I usually start by trying to find out what they are struggling the most and adjust the way I present the material from there. I often like to ensure that the student has a plan for each problem that they encounter.My goal is to make each student confident in their ability to approach any math problem that they may encounter on a test.

Latin isn't a "dead" language!It's just been "Roman" around!Learning Latin doesn't need to be boring memorization of charts and rules; it can be a fun and rewarding experience. I like to incorporate songs, games, and individual creativity into the learning experience.

I graduated from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI in 2014 with majors in art and biology. I spent a considerable amount of time volunteering as a tutor for kids of all ages, including those with special needs. I love finding ways to make difficult concepts digestible and (if possible) fun.I haven't forgotten what it's like to be a student; I used to hate math, and in high school my grades were barely passable. The key to learning and succeeding is not only to have a desire to learn, but to have a teacher that can match your learning style. I like to take time to get to know who I'm working with so that I can build a bond and match my abilities to my students' needs.I'm also pretty funny. A student who is laughing along with me is much more likely to be engaged than one who's bored the whole time!

I have been involved in the real estate/property management field for the last 10 years now. I received my real estate education from the Lorrick School of real estate in Madison, WI. I currently work as a real estate agent at the Keller Williams East Madison brokerage and I work in the single family home, condominium, land and multi-family markets. I am most passionate about helping and being a strong resource for students who are either just learning about real estate so they can pass the state exam or real estate agents that are just entering the business and need direction and coaching towards becoming a successful realtor. In my spare time, I do like to game (PS4), hunt fish and enjoy an occasional pipe or cigar! I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your goals in real estate!

I am a graduate of DePaul University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy with an environmental concentration and a minor in Spanish. While at DePaul University I was a part of the Mitchem Fellowship Program. While at DePaul University, I also worked as a mentor for first generation college students in the STARS program and later I worked as a Student Aid with Gear Up at Nicholas Senn High School. Upon graduation I returned to Milwaukee where I worked for Nativity Jesuit Academy as a Student Aid, College Possible as a Senior Coach, with Safe & Sound as a Youth Organizer, and with Milwaukee County as a Juvenile Probation Officer. I have worked with a diverse array of youth in various settings in and out of the classroom. Working with youth is a passion of mine just like geography, English, and Spanish. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, running, lifting weights, playing the bass guitar, reading, painting, traveling, and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity.

I studied physics at a liberal arts school, worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and did two years of work on a masters at University of New Mexico. I have taught lab courses in introductory physics and tutored college and high school students in physics and math. I am interested in making physics and math relatable to people who are not naturally adept at it. I have taken the SAT, the general GRE and the physics GRE subject tests.I also play trumpet and have studied music theory in music camps and AP music theory so I can tutor music theory.
