I earned my undergraduate degree at Marquette University in Mechanical Engineering. My focus was in thermal sciences, specifically combustion and heat transfer. While at Marquette I did research on thermal transfer in turbulent flow. While at Marquette, I spent a summer at Northwestern University doing research in bandgap theory and kinetic energy harvesters. I moved back to my hometown of Chicago to get my Masters at Illinois Institute of Technology. I studied Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering with a focus in Thermal Science and Fluid Mechanics. I have a strong passion for the academic realm and believe only through a strong background in theory can you develop an excellent practical engineering ability. In my spare time I enjoy camping, hiking, and swimming. I also help out at my local Boy Scout troop. I am a bit of a nerd and play many table top board games.

I am a big proponent of understanding the 'why' behind pathophysiology, signs, and symptoms, and nursing interventions. Trying to memorize everything is impossible and will not help you pass the NCLEX, however, if you understand the concept and pathophysiology, you can usually get the right answers and be way more successful.

I am a recent graduate of Cornell University. I graduated from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS) at Cornell with a Bachelor’s in Science. I majored in Biology with a concentration in Molecular and Cell Biology. I am currently working in medical research here in New York and am planning on applying to MD and MD/PHD programs.
