I worked in a preschool for 3 years during high school, highlighting competency in Reading, Math, Spanish, Science and History. I also worked in after school programs during high school, for students of all ages and was a tutor in college as well.I was an honors student all through grade school, obtained my BS in Health Science and am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in occupational therapy. I received my Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from the Cornell University School of Engineering. Based on my strong academic record, I was able to accelerate the completion of my Master of Business Administration (MBA) in just one additional year, also at Cornell. Upon graduation, I applied my knowledge as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies in many different industries, primarily in the role as a process and profit improvement specialist. I then joined an investment firm which was pioneering the use of Artificial Intelligence to managing client portfolios. For those unfamiliar with Operations Research, it is generally defined as the application of advanced analytics, primarily mathematics based, to make better business decisions. As a result, I believe Algebra is essential to long-term mathematics learning, knowledge, and personal success. Therefore, while I am available to assist in many subject areas, my tutoring focus is on helping any age student excel at Algebra and the fundamentals of mathematics.I like to think of myself as a golfer even though I don't get to play very often. I am an avid sports fan, particularly for the teams in my area of Florida, now known as (at least temporarily) as Champa Bay (Tampa Bay)!

I've earned my Masters from Columbia University in Writing and my Bachelors from Emory University in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing. I specialize in technical writing, creative writing, literature and test-taking.As an instructor, I design my tutoring sessions based on my students' interests. My students learn not just to write great essays, but speak confidently on and master the subjects they study. I am a US ARMY veteran. I obtained my Masters in Business Administration from Liberty University and my Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida, with a major in Political Science. I obtained my real estate license in 2000 and was the founder and managing broker of a mid sized real estate brokerage from 2005 to 2020. I sold my company to pursue my passion for educating others. I have taught real estate courses for the local Realtor association, title companies, mortgage companies, other real estate companies, and spent countless hours in front of students as the head of education for my company. My training has resulted in my agent ranking among the top 2% of all agents in the 4th largest county in the state. I have also taught and mentored elementary school students through several organizations as well as homeschooled 3rd - 5th graders. I have traveled the world visiting 26+ countries for both leisure and missionary work. I believe my exposure to different cultures, my education, and entrepreneurial experience provide me with a unique outlook on life that allows me to understand complex things and then break them down into relatable examples that are easier to understand. In my spare time, I enjoy coaching soccer & flag football, reading and photography.

I graduated from the International Baccalaureate School at Bartow, with enough credits to be granted the IB Diploma. As part of the graduation requirements, I had to have at least 150 hours of various community service types. Over 120 of these hours were logged in tutoring a group of 4th graders, which is where the most of my experience in tutoring has stemmed from.]I am currently working towards a bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of central Florida.I am tutoring mainly in three subjects: Computer Science (General/AP/IB), Spanish (General/AP/IB), and IB English Language/Literature. My favorite one to teach is Computer Science, as it tends to be the easiest one to teach, and has many practical applications outside of a learning environment.Many of my lessons will involve breaking concepts down to their core mechanics, teaching the subject from a ground-up perspective, and incorporating examples and exercises for the student to use. The lessons need to be presented in a manner that is not so complex that the student feels overwhelmed, but also not so simple that the student feels patronized and stops learning.Outside of tutoring, my interests involves writing, reading, playing games and socializing with friends.
