I have been teaching elementary students since 2016 and currently work as a reading specialist, supporting students with a wide range of academic needs in both reading and math. I earned my master's degree in literacy from Michigan State University and am currently pursuing a second master's in ESL. Over the past ten years, I have worked with students in kindergarten through fifth grade, including children who are significantly behind, struggling with confidence, learning English, or needing extra support to fill foundational gaps. My greatest strength is building strong relationships with students while creating lessons that feel engaging, encouraging, and tailored to exactly what they need. I specialize in early literacy, phonics, reading comprehension, writing, and elementary math intervention. I strongly believe that when children feel safe, capable, and understood, real growth happens. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but to help them genuinely believe in themselves and even start to love learning.
