I am a dedicated professional educator with a Bachelor of Education, a TESOL certification, and over 17 years of experience in the classroom. My career has spanned over a decade of international teaching in Japan as well as extensive experience within the Canadian public school system. This diverse background has allowed me to specialize in foundational literacy and elementary phonics, helping students bridge the gap between basic letter recognition and confident, fluid reading. In my sessions, I prioritize a stress-free, student-centered approach. I believe that students achieve their best academic results when they feel supported and engaged, so I specialize in adapting complex linguistic concepts into manageable, interactive lessons. Whether I am helping an elementary student master short vowel sounds or guiding a junior high student through English language mechanics, my goal is always to build genuine confidence.
