I'm an energetic, caring, and experienced science teacher with 28 years of working with middle school students, and I truly love helping them grow in confidence and understanding. I support students in all areas of middle school science, including physics, chemistry, ecology, and Earth science topics like weather and space. In our sessions, I use simple explanations and real-life examples, like connecting forces to everyday situations or exploring ecosystems and weather patterns in ways that make sense to students. I'm also state certified in Engineering and Technology Education in South Carolina, and I bring a hands-on, encouraging approach to every lesson. Most importantly, I create a positive, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn. I want every student to feel successful and to leave each session feeling more confident than when they started.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking and mountain biking. My family loves exploring the outdoors and have visited over 50 National Parks! We have 2 cats that currently rule the house. :)
