About Me

What is your goal? This will be one of my first questions when we meet for a tutoring session. Identifying and developing a plan with you about the subject you desire tutoring/mentorship in is my primary focus. My passion for helping students comes from a place of understanding, listening, and focused development. If this means getting homework done, reviewing for a test, or filling in gaps of knowledge we will work together to develop a plan and take action to give you confidence to succeed! I have a clinical fellowship in biochemical genetics, doctorate in biochemistry both from the University of Utah, and a bachelor's from the University of Colorado at Boulder. My focus of study and training includes biochemistry, metabolism, genetics, physiology, molecular/cellular/developmental biology, organic chemistry, and general chemistry. I have 7+ years of experience tutoring/mentoring students in a 1 on 1 or group setting. I gained this skillset during my PhD and clinical fellowship at the University of Utah where I focused on attending courses/trainings provided by the undergraduate research office.
