About Me

As an educator with a Master's degree in Data Science from the University at Buffalo, I have a strong foundation in mathematics and computer science, which I passionately share with my students. I currently teach middle school math in New York City, where I have cultivated over 2 years of experience in tailoring lessons to meet diverse learning needs. My teaching philosophy centers on making math relatable by connecting concepts to real-world applications, fostering critical thinking and creativity. I find immense joy in witnessing students experience their "aha" moments, particularly when they grasp complex topics like probability or algebra. Additionally, my background in programming languages such as Python and SQL enriches my teaching, allowing me to integrate technology into the learning process. Outside of academia, I enjoy learning Spanish and exploring personal finance, which I believe could also benefit my students. My goal is to empower each student to reach their full potential and foster a lifelong love for learning.
