About Me

I am a McGill University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Mathematics. I tutor a wide range of topics, but I am currently most passionate about teaching the SAT: both the Math section and the Reading & Writing sections. I attune my teaching style based on the needs of the student. First I have them take diagnostic tests to demonstrate their relative skill, and through a bit of trial and error I can understand which learning styles they are most comfortable with. Additionally, my teaching will almost involve some combination of the Socratic questioning method and rubber duck explaining; I ask them questions so they can better understand their assumptions for solving problems, and they explain what they know and don't know in order to pinpoint the exact point in which they don't understand something.
