About Me

I have been a math tutor for more than 30 years. I have a Bachelor'sdegree from UC Berkeley in Applied Mathematics. More importantly, Itruly enjoy helping students to understand math concepts. I know thereare numerous methods to solve any math problem. Students aredifferent, and I work with each student to find the teaching methodwith which they are most comfortable. In addition to my experience as a math tutor, I now teach seminarsthat guide students in preparing for the SAT and the ACT.Specifically, I show students all of the following:1. All of the different types of questions on the exam and how toanswer each one.2. Strategies to stay on pace during the exam.3. Different trick questions on every college prep exam andstrategies to get these questions right.4. Finally, I ensure that each student knows where to focus theirefforts to improve their score as much as possible. In conclusion, I give any student the ability to improve their scoreon any portion of the SAT or ACT with my tutoring combined with hardwork studying and preparing for the exam.
