For my undergraduate education, I attended the University of Pittsburgh where I received my B.S. in Neuroscience and minors in Chemistry and Spanish. Initially wanting to pursue a career in medicine, I enrolled in Columbia University's Institute of Human Nutrition where I received my M.S. in Human Nutrition. Through this program, I realized that I wanted to focus my career on improving health at the population level and thus am currently enrolled in Drexel University's School of Public Health where I will receive my M.P.H. in 2016. As an undergraduate, I also spent two and a half years as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Chemistry courses during which I acquired extensive teaching techniques and skills.
