I am very excited to help others become CPA's. Having gone through the process myself in 2019-2020, I have experience with the current format and content of the test. My test journey started in September 2019 when I started studying. I took my first exam (REG) Oct 13th and passed. I took the next exam BEC Dec 9th. I then took a break over the Christmas holiday (and because year-end at work is crazy!). I had planned to take the third and fourth exam in 2020 but of course that got delayed by closures. I ended up taking BEC May 19th and AUD June 30th. I passed all 4 sections the first time.I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting and M.B.A. with a concentration in Forensic Accounting from the University of South Florida. I also have a certification in Fraud Examination (CFE).My teaching style is to get to know the student and tailor the sessions to their needs and learning styles. Everyone learns differently!

Going to Virginia Tech for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology gave me the keys to a thrilling variety of courses and the ability to see them all through the lenses of learning, human nature, art, and science. Before that, I also earned an Associate of Science in Mathematics at Northern Virginia Community College. I'm also a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. In graduate school, I continued to follow my passions by earning a Graduate Certificate in Computational Social Science at George Mason University. Most recently I have been working on a Master of Science in Interactive Media and Game Development at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. At the moment I'm developing a computer game about wasps and ecosystems. From many perspectives, science and art are quite distinct, but as a teacher, psychologist, and designer, I see them intersect daily.I am very grateful to have benefitted from a variety of courses and instructional environments. Since my first day with a bag of big pencils as a little child, I have attended 14 different schools full-time in three different countries and three different languages. The languages were English, German, and French - I've also studied Latin and Italian. As my student, you find not only a sympathetic ear, but also experience from what is approaching four years of tutoring K-12 topics and preparing students for high school admissions. Although Psychology is indeed a science (as I do love to convince anyone who says otherwise), my forte is, I confess, less in the physical sciences than in the areas of mathematics, logic, programming, critical thinking, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and writing. I do have experience helping students with just about the whole gamut of topics, and I love to teach math up through Calculus. Variety is a perk of being a tutor, so I'm always learning and excited to conquer new areas. I believe in my students the same way I have learned to believe in myself.

I am a graduate from the University of South Florida. I received a Bachelor's of Science in Industrial Engineering last Spring, and I am planning to go back for a Master's degree in Engineering Management next fall. My mother is an elementary school teacher, and I have been tutoring students in her classrooms for over 10 years. She has taught me many different ways to approach a student's needs based on their particular learning style. I also have tutored academics both privately and for my high school, as well as teaching private music lessons. Although I am able to tutor many different levels and topics of English, science, history and test prep, my favorite subjects to tutor fall under mathematics. I firmly believe that having a strong grasp on mathematical concepts can be empowering and rewarding to students, and it can teach them methods to evaluate and analyze situations in their own lives. My tutoring style is to recognize the way the student learns (whether it be visually, kinetically, auditorily, etc.) and to deliver the information using that method in the most fun and encouraging way possible. I like to be creative and show the students that learning doesn't have to be boring. Outside of academia, I am a very musical person. I play guitar and sing, and I love to listen to music and go to concerts. I also enjoy reading (I am currently on the Game of Thrones series), playing and watching football, and spending time with my family and friends.

I believe that every person can be successful at doing math, taking standardized tests and understanding the concepts used in business. For some, it just may take a little longer, they may have to more work, put in more effort and schedule more time. I have degrees in Chemical Engineering, Adult and Business Administration. I have taught in situations as diverse as parole houses, job training programs, 'career' education establishments and at the university. I have tutored for Sylvan, Tutor Doctor, WyzAnt, Virtual Vocations, Club Z and with my own agency (Growing Desire Educational Association). I primarily tutor math (Developmental to Finite Math, Geometry and Statistics) and business subjects (Accounting, Bookkeeping, Management, Marketing, Human Resources) to name a few. My philosophy goes this way. When parents tell me that "Oh, my son has ____" I quietly say, "Hum!" Realistically, the student still has to do the same work that others are expected to complete, to pass the same tests, and to do the same homework as anyone else. I will adjust my tutoring methods a little, but I will continue to emphasize to the student and the parent that they hired me to assist the student to 'pass' the class. Now I ask the student: 'What problem can't you work?' OK, lets see how we can get you to understand how to do it. And it continues from there, problem by problem.
