Students explore a broad range of topics in AICE English General Paper to gain knowledge and understanding of complex issues facing society in local, national, and international arenas. Through the study of these broad topics, students learn to effectively communicate their opinions and ideas as they gather information and build an argument. This course helps students to think globally and prepares them to take the Cambridge International AS English General Paper exam.

Media Studies offers learners the chance to develop an understanding and appreciation of the place of media in our everyday lives. Through the coursework components they create their own media products from planning through to execution. Learners also consider and analyze examples from existing media, examining production processes and technologies and the effects they achieve. This course helps students to prepare to take the Cambridge International AS Media Studies exam.

These are both semester courses that are designed for the student who enjoys expressing themselves through writing. In this course, you will explore the genres of poetry, short stories, and essays. You will get a chance to tap into your creative spirit and publish your work. If you want to improve your writing and thinking, this is the class for you.

The purpose of this course is to provide a continuation of creative writing studies as well as experience the instruction in working on a student publication staff. In addition to written work, students will receive instruction and workshop experiences in layouts, printing, and other practical aspects of creating a student literary publication.

This course includes instruction in logical thinking and organization of facts to prepare for a debate. Students will practice research skills related to debate topics and will participate in debate situations.

All journalism classes develop the skills of reporting, interviewing, writing, editing, photography, videography, and social media. All journalism classes work directly on producing material for the school's publications. This class focused on creative non-fiction, opinion columns, long-form and investigative journalism.
