Students attend art class once a week. They gain experience using a variety of art media and learn techniques to create art skillfully. The design elements of color, value, line, shape, form, space and texture are explored. Students develop an understanding of different styles of art, artists and art from different cultures.

Students sing, play instruments, move to music and perform folk dances. They learn solfege syllables and practice rhythm. Intermediate students (grades 3-5) work with drum ensembles, recorder groups, ukuleles and percussion instruments. Students study elements of music including rhythm, melody, form, style, dynamics and timbre.

After school ensemble for 4th and 5th grade students. Groups deepen their music skills as they practice together in preparation for concerts.

Students learn proper hand position, bowing styles, tone quality, aural skills, intonation, instrument technique, music reading, listening skills, ensemble playing, and teamwork. Students perform varied repertoire and learn appropriate rehearsal and concert etiquette. Enrollment limited to 25 students.

Students develop healthy living habits and skills. They take part in a wide variety of activities, sports, and challenges. Goals include helping students be the best they can be, making health and fitness fun, building confidence, and creating a team/family atmosphere.
