Instruction builds conceptual understanding, develops procedural fluency, and promotes higher-order thinking skills. Students learn math strategies and solve real-world problems.

Students engage in inquiry-based learning from a critical thinking approach. Engaging lessons allow students to experience science directly or through rich multimedia.

Students develop informed and logical decisions for the public good. Foundation teaches students to ask questions about American history, geography, economics, civics, and government.

Students explore various art materials including pencil, crayon, colored pencils, paints, ink, and clay while learning about artists, styles, and mediums from around the world. Art helps build focus, problem-solving skills, imagination, and confidence.

Students study various genres and multicultural music. Learn basic music skills, treble clef reading, and perform on Orff xylophones (all grades), recorder (grades 2-5), and ukulele (grades 3-5). Includes composer studies.

Students develop health and fitness skills for life. Learn and refine skills in various fitness areas with focus on accomplishing skills and success rather than competition.

Students explore age-appropriate topics through interactive experiments, collaborative projects, and real-world connections. Topics include solar system, forces and motion, growing plants, simple machines, and weather patterns.

Students receive instruction in technology and computer science supervised by classroom teachers.

Students participate in library and media center activities.

Available for students who require additional instruction to aid with articulation skills, speech intelligibility, language development, and pragmatic language.
