Carpentry is one of the fastest growing industries. Employment forecasters anticipate a 20% growth in job opportunities by 2020. Students enrolled in the carpentry program learn the skills needed to excel in construction technology. In this hands-on program, students apply their knowledge of construction materials to prepare housing foundations, install framing and build, repair and/or install porches, cabinets, etc.

Students enrolled in the cosmetology program learn the principles of hair and nail care/design including, but not limited to, hair cutting, relaxing, styling, manicures and pedicures. In addition, students learn the science of caring for the skin (the largest organ in the human body) including the assessment of skin/scalp health.

The award-winning Culinary Arts Program at CVCA prepares students for employment opportunities in the culinary and hospitality industry. Students learn food preparation, cooking and baking techniques, recipe development, leadership and communication skills as well as sanitation procedures and best practices. In addition, students are granted the opportunity to earn industry recognized certifications.
