Air Force Junior Reserve Offi cer Training Corps (AFJROTC) I courses include both aerospace studies and leadership/life skills education. In these courses, leadership/life skills lessons cover the heritage and development of the Air Force, including its structure, operations, customs, and courtesies. Aerospace topics include the development, history, and impact of fl ight; aircraft and spacecraft; and the environment in which these crafts operate.

Air Force Junior Reserve Offi cer Training Corps (AFJROTC) II courses include both aerospace studies and leadership/life skills education. In these courses, leadership/life skills lessons cover intercommunication skills, drills, and military ceremonies. Aerospace topics emphasize the science of fl ight, including factors of aerospace power, aircraft fl ight, and navigation.

Cadets examine various regions of the world from a geographic and cultural perspective, history, religions, languages, political systems, economics, social issues, environmental concerns, and human rights. Understand that uniform wear and grooming standards are required.

Air Force Junior Reserve Offi cer Training Corps (AFJROTC) III courses include both aerospace studies and leadership/life skills education. These courses continue to develop students’ life and leadership skills and the ways in which they apply to military life. Aerospace topics emphasize space technology and exploration, examine national defense systems, and advance students’ knowledge of aviation, propulsion, and navigation.

Cadets learn the skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary to successfully perform fundamental tasks needed for survival. Understand that uniform wear and grooming standards are required.

Air Force Junior Reserve Offi cer Training Corps (AFJROTC) IV courses include both aerospace studies and leadership/life skills education. The life skills education portion of these courses concentrates on leadership and management principles and career opportunities, and aerospace topics include advanced aerodynamics and aeronautics. Course content may also cover elements of national power and relationships between the nations of the world.

In-depth instruction concentrates on the elements of military drill. Competitive drill teams emphasize teamwork, attention to detail, and precision formation movements and are regulated by AIA and District eligibility rules for competitions. Honor Guard teams are trained for ceremonial performances and protocol for civilian and military events, where they earn community service hours.

Students will learn how agriculture plays a vital role in the U.S. and world economy through experiential learning in plant and animal sciences, mechanics, and leadership development. A Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) is required for all students. Students will participate in the National FFA Organization, where they will develop leadership and skills for career success. FFA offers leadership an community service opportunities to assist with entrance into college and scholarship opportunities. This course focuses on plant sciences, specifically plant production in the greenhouse. Units include plant growth and development, hydroponics, propagation, nutrition, pests, greenhouse management, landscape plant identification, design and installation of irrigation systems, and equipment maintenance. Students will participate in the National FFA Organization, where they will develop skills

This course focuses on the animal sciences and the history and trends in animal industries. Units include animal selection, health, nutrition, reproduction, genetics, meat evaluation, and horse care. Business principles of the animal industries are included.Students will participate in the National FFA Organization, where they will develop skills for leadership and career success. FFA offers leadership and community service opportunities to assist with entrance into college and scholarship opportunities. Industry certification may be offered in this same course. Completion of Agriscience 1 and 2 will provide one laboratory science credit for university admission or high school credit and one CTE credit. At Chandler High School, 1th and 12th grade students in this course may be eligible to participate in the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).
