Conversational Spanish is the goal. Today, we started from square 1: pronouns and conjugations, we and practiced combining the two with the verbs CAMINAR and IR. The student is very self-motivated to learn Spanish. He is a quick learner and willing to take correction. He has 2 good personal motives for which he is learning Spanish.

Today the student and I worked a little on each section, but focused primarily on logical reasoning. His accuracy is very good, but he does have some difficulty narrowing down the answers on the more difficult questions. The student took the diagnostic test for math with me. He is very knowledgeable in math, but need to work on skipping hard problems and doing the easier ones first, so he does not run out of time. For the next session, I will create a timed test to have him practice this skill. Also, he will be taking a diagnostic test for reading.

History Tutoring review by Karen in Provo, UT
Today we spent time reviewing the math facts. The student is still struggling some with her 7s. She is to study her facts before our session on Thursday. If she is doing well with all of her facts, we will begin working on the 8s. We also continued with money, counting and adding up amounts over $1.00. She did a super job and she told me she counted money at the bank. I then had her read 3 short stories, and she did a fantastic job with the comprehension questions. She worked hard today!
