I am currently completing a bachelor's of science in neuroscience at the University of Southern California. I will graduate from USC with honors in May, and although I am originally from the Midwest, I plan to stay in the Los Angeles area. My course background includes a full load of college-level premed courses (three years of biology, a full year of organic chemistry, biochemistry, etc.), and my favorite subjects are math, physiology, and writing.

I am especially interested in the process of helping others as they learn how to express their views and opinions through the written word. I believe writing is a useful skill in just about any walk of life, and I consider it my privilege and purpose to help others discover their written voice.

I am especially drawn to the sciences, math and English. I am a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley (Cal). I received my Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on British and American Literature. I also received my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with an A in the Honors Program. I am available to work up to thirty hours per week. Friday through Sunday I would generally be free to tutor at any time; on Mondays, I am available during the day, and on Wednesdays, I am available from mid-afternoon (starting around three) through the evening. I am usually not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays. I would not need to take any month off.

I am a tutor available to teach a wide range of subjects, ranging from test prep to math and history. I am interested in helping any student with a desire to improve their understanding their subject of choice. My personal favorite are history, literature, economics and politics. I have worked with a diverse age group of students, from elementary to university level, with the bulk of my experience with high school and college level work.

I am fully aware that no two students are the same and that various teaching modalities should be employed to ensure a strong foundation for every student, regardless of their baseline level of understanding of the subject matter.
