How can Economics tutoring help you?

Learning economics may be quite interesting, and it is a good subject to know if you plan on working in government, or in a field that researches money and finance. Economics is a perfect mixture of social science and math, and it helps us see how society and markets influence each other. You may be able to learn about money and inflation, interest rates, and how government and corporate decision making may influence all of them. Economics Tutoring review by Zachary in St. Louis, MO
This was an initial meeting with the client. We set up dates and times to meet for tutoring sessions. Also, we talked briefly about the SAT test and the basic outline for each tutoring session. This meeting went very well and the client seems pleased with the initial plan for SAT prep.

Today we worked on about half the grammar section of the ACT.  The student's homework is to finish the chapter and to take her time doing the mock test supplied.  Next time we meet we'll work on reading comprehension.

Went over what I called "2 step equations" as he was used to "1 step equations" (simple algebraic steps). This required both addition and/or multiplication (or subtract and/or division).

Today we made flashcards for the student's social studies class. The cards are for review/prep for her standardized test in May. After making the cards, we went through the questions. She does fairly well at recalling the newer information she has learned in class. I advised the student's mom to continue going over the flashcards with her on a daily or every other day basis.

On this day, the student and I worked on reviewing the chapters for his test on Tuesday and Wednesday covering International Trade. As per our usual routine, we reviewed the topics on the surface and then proceeded to dive more deeply into each topic. He did very well and we will set up our next few and final meetings in the week before his AP Exam.

Economics Tutoring review by Raymond in St. Louis, MO
The student had an exam today right after our session so we went over her practice tests which we started during the last session. We covered everything she's done in class so far: Regression, correlation, histograms, box plots, stem and leaf plots, probability, experiment design, etc. She seems to understand the material in general but still gets a little tripped up on the specifics in some of the more difficult problems. It's hard for me to get a read on how she's going to do on this exam because I've only had a handful of sessions with her. She was still making small mistakes in calculations during our session today. She is familiar with all of the material though, and if the actual exam is anything like her practice exams she should do fairly well.
