About Me

As a tutor and current student at the University of Michigan, majoring in Biomolecular Sciences (Biochemistry), I bring both academic expertise and enthusiasm for teaching peers. My tutoring focuses on Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Biology, where I try my best to simplify complex concepts and help students develop confidence in their problem-solving abilities. Beyond coursework, I have hands-on experience working in a chemistry teaching environment (ChemStand), undergraduate research labs, and supporting patients in a hospital setting, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to connect with learners of different backgrounds. My teaching philosophy centers on patience, clarity, and adaptability. I tailor lessons to each student's unique learning style, emphasizing not just memorization but deep understanding of fundamental principles. I believe that science becomes much more approachable when students see how concepts connect to real-world applications, and I aim to foster that sense of curiosity and discovery in every session. Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring new scientific literature and engaging in cross-cultural experiences. I am trilingual and actively support language learners in Korean as well.
