About Me

I am a dedicated lifelong learner. I graduated from University of Michigan in 2021 with a double bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry in Secondary Education. I am a passionate scientist and I am always curious about the way the world works, which is why I chose to become a science teacher and share that passion with others. To describe myself as a teacher, I would say that I am very passionate and engaging. My teaching philosophy is student-centered, meaning that I meet the student where they're at. I see my students as individuals and I believe it is my job to cater to that in my teaching. I currently teach at an International Baccalaureate (IB) high school school that contains rigorous instruction and requires in-depth understanding and critical thinking. I teach 7th grade physical science, 9th grade IB Biology, and 10th grade IB Chemistry. I am very knowledgeable in each subject, and my teaching style allows for me to break down concepts in a way that best fits a student's needs.
