About Me

I am a recently retired engineer with over 45 years of experience in practical design/mechanical engineering and engineering education. I have MSE and Ph.D. in Mechanical engineering. For the last 20 years, I have worked as an engineering faculty and Engineering Department Head at Community College. My latest practical engineering experience is primarily in machine design and design of automated production lines for printed circuit board manufacturing and the semiconductor industry. I am a dedicated and passionate educator who loves working with students and encouraging them to persist through challenges. I have over twenty years of experience teaching engineering disciplines: Engineering Mechanics -Statics, Dynamics, and Strength of Materials (or Mechanics of Materials or Mechanics of Solids). I also can help students in physics areas ranging from introductory mechanics to advanced topics in the discipline. I have extensive experience teaching students with a variety of age ranges and abilities in the classroom, in small groups, and individually. I have proven my ability to develop rapport with students and explain engineering concepts understandably and engagingly. My students appreciate my approaches to helping them to solve challenging engineering and science problems. The vast majority of my students had successfully continued their education in universities and succeeded in their engineering careers.
