I began my undergraduate career at Drexel University and I am proud to say I finished at Rowan University. During my time at Drexel I was fortunate enough to participate in the Maryanoff Fellowship program with a focus on nanotechnology research. My goal was annealing silver nanoparticles into nanowires. My focus then shifted to organic chemistry education utilizing first person shooter video game software. I always had an eye for being an educator, even in my undergraduate days.
I then pursued a graduate degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. I was voted class vice president and was introduced to my first leadership role in an academic setting. I had a wonderful time at PCOM including doing an internship at the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. Here I assisted as an intern medico-legal death investigator (AKA CSI) and participated during autopsies.
I have been teaching at Rowan University for the past six semesters. I began with one course Essentials of General Chemistry, then Essentials and Organic Laboratory I, and now I am teaching both Chemistry II Lecture and Laboratory this semester.
