Hey everyone! I am currently a Junior at Harvard University majoring in East Asian Studies with a specific focus on Japan and Japanese media. On campus I am also President of the Harvard College Japan Initiative, a student-run organization that devises an annual Japanese career fair and works with several Japanese companies and groups to run programs both here in the U.S. and in Japan. I also work at the Yenching Library on campus in the Japanese Collection. In my spare time I like to consume Japanese media (games, novels, movies) that I buy on my trips there, act, and practice martial arts.
I have been tutoring in a variety of subjects for over 10 years and am extremely passionate about teaching and education. Sometimes students need assistance tailored to their specific needs and situations that regular classes cannot provide, and so one of my greatest joys tutoring is being able to give one-on-one, specialized help and the little extra push that they need to help them shine. My mother is a former teacher and so from a very young age I've always been drawn to education, and my love for tutoring is just one manifestation of that.
I'm very approachable, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about anything! I'm really looking forward to working with and getting to know some of you!
