What is your teaching philosophy?

I strive to teach students so they can comfortably assess and answer the question. Once the student is familiar with the concept, I have him or her 'teach' it to me. This method helps the students gain confidence in their work and reinforces the previously learned concepts.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I will get to know them by asking about their professor/teacher and how tests are given. Once I know the test formats, I can look at and go over questions that are similar to the same format on the test so the student is comfortable with these type of questions.
