I love learning and helping people reach their goals. I believe education is something incredibly valuable and should be spread to everyone! I graduated from Utah State University with a major in Psychology and a minor in Music. I loved getting to study and learn there, and even tutored a lot of my fellow students in classes! I helped people with biology, neuroscience, essay writing, and reading. I have worked as a registered behavior technician doing behavior therapy with kids, as well as helping them with reading skills and elementary homework. I also worked in a special needs preschool helping kids learn to read and play appropriately.I love tutoring people in reading, english, psychology, music, as well as basic math. I would describe my tutoring style as individual focused. I believe that every person has the ability to learn what they would like to learn if they're given proper time, help, and resources. Individuals all learn a little differently, so I think it's important to adapt your teaching to how your current student learns best.I have a few interests outside of academia as well. I absolutely love plants and flowers, and have spent quite a few years working as a florist. I love everything about music, singing, playing instruments, listening to all different types, going to concerts. I have a cat that I adore, even though he wakes me up early every morning to play.

Freshman Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah. I'm originally from Park City, Utah and love to ski, read, and learn! Learning new information takes a lot of patience and handwork and I'm very willing to patiently walk through any and all math problems till a solution is found. I would not be studying what I am today, without a lot of hard-work and dedication. I'm a very friendly student and know exactly what you're going through in terms of studying, persistence is key!

I was born and raised in Mexico, and I have lived in the US since I was 18. I graduated with a BA in history and a minor in Arabic from BYU in 2009. I later went back and took about 15 credits of undergraduate math and statistics. In 2012 I graduated with a Master's of Public Affairs and Applied Statistics from the University of Texas at Austin. My Spanish upbringing has opened some doors to help Spanish learners. During my undergraduate years, I taught Spanish to pay for school. I would tutor students who wanted a down to earth explanation of a Spanish grammatical concept or who simply wanted to practice conversation. I later became an approved court interpreter in Utah and worked on a few arraignments and one trial.I currently work during for a research company writing statistical programs to analyze data. The way I put it is: "I run regressions for a living." I like statistics and I like intuitive interpretations of economic and statistical concepts. I have tutored high school and college students taking their probability, hypothesis testing, regression, and econometric classes. At UT Austin, I took more than 18 credits of graduate statistics and RA'd for an economist there.I love helping people understand concepts. I feed of the faces of students when they get it.

My passion and innermost desire is to help others reach their potential in their field of interest. I find joy in teaching and watching others gain understanding as we work together on a goal. I hope to build a relationship of trust, respect and mutual understanding with all those I come into contact with. With respect to teaching, I love the Spanish language and have gained that love through living 2 years in Chile and discovering the intricacies of the language. Then, studying Spanish at Brigham Young University and serving as an assistant teacher for those from Latin American countries wanting to learn English. Whether your a beginner, or someone who is close to fluency, I hope to become a great mentor, friend and support to everyone I tutor! As we learn, we will have fun! Work ethic will be key as well as having fun throughout the process. We will make the time we have together worthwhile and fun which will help the students I tutor have a memorable experience and love what they are learning!
