About Me

For over 30 years, education has been both my profession and my calling. I have had the privilege of teaching Spanish from Level I through AP IV, guiding students from their first introduction to the language to advanced proficiency and cultural fluency. Throughout my classroom career, I have been deeply committed to creating engaging, rigorous, and meaningful learning experiences that empower students to think critically and communicate confidently in Spanish. As a College Board Reader for AP Spanish Language and Culture, I gained valuable insight into national standards of excellence and the importance of preparing students not only for exams, but for real-world communication and global citizenship. This experience strengthened my instructional practices and reinforced my dedication to high academic expectations. For the past 19 years, I have also served in administrative roles, supporting teachers, fostering collaborative school cultures, and working to ensure that all students have access to high-quality instruction. Leadership allowed me to broaden my impact beyond the classroom while remaining grounded in what matters moststudent success. Although I have recently retired, my passion for education remains strong. I continue to bring energy, experience, and a deep belief in students' potential. I am motivated by seeing learners grow in confidence, skill, and purpose, and I remain committed to supporting student achievement in meaningful and lasting ways.
