About Me

As a dedicated educator with a Master's degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, I have over 10 years of experience in tutoring and classroom instruction from lower school to Masters level. I specialize in global dynamics, socio-cultural affairs, AP Human Geography and Spanish at various levels, as well as collegiate/masters level research and writing for publication. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment with patience where students feel empowered to explore their interests and develop critical thinking skills. I am passionate about making history, cultures and languages come alive, helping students connect their curiosity with the material in ways meaningful to each student. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy traveling and immersing myself in different cultures, which enriches my teaching and allows me to bring real-world context to the subjects I teach. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning in each of my students.
