About Me
As a passionate educator with a Doctorate in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University and a BSN from Ursuline College, I have 15 years of combined clinical, research, and nurse education experience. From 2021 to 2024, I taught undergraduate nursing students (both in the classroom and one-on-one). I have expertise in Nursing Fundamentals (including Pathophysiology, Anatomy & Physiology, and core nursing concepts) and Evidence-based Nursing Practice (including literature reviews and basic research concepts). I have also tutored students in medical terminology, test and study strategies, and the math concepts that are essential for success in nursing math. My teaching philosophy centers on fostering a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to engage with complex material. I strive to connect with each student by understanding their unique learning styles, which enhances their study skills and organizational abilities. I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals, inspired by the transformative impact of education on their futures.
Hobbies & Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy crocheting, reading, drinking copious amounts of coffee, and exploring the natural world with my 8 year old son and husband, who share my passion for science and learning. Fun fact about me: I also have a BA in Zoology from The Ohio State University!
