About Me

I am a graduate from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. I graduated with Honors for a Liberal Arts degree, with a Spanish minor. I also took many Math, French, and Physics courses. Since graduating, I joined Varsity Tutors, completed my TEFL/TESOL certification with The International TEFL Academy, and I have been an online volunteer ESL tutor for adult students with the Dominican Sisters of Peace, based out of Columbus, OH. In my experience helping students with Math, I have learned that consistency is essential for students' learning. Practicing in different ways to learn a concept and being consistent in the process helps students achieve their academic goals. I am a firm believer that practicing consistently, being curious and being empathetic are the most important parts of education and are the qualities of an educator which enrich the lives of students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking/hiking, trying new foods, and embroidery.
