About Me

Hi! My name is Marla aka MamaM! I'm from Vancouver, Canada. For the past 10 years, I have been a business owner in Canada, hosting programs for the Canadian Red Cross managing a team of 50. I am also a Primary Montessori and TESOL- certified teacher graduating with grade A from England. As well, a focus on early childhood education classroom teaching experience of 20+years. Some other qualifications include, Honours graduate of Theatre from York University, Toronto, Canada-Dean's Honour Roll, Red Cross Instructor, Occupational First Aid Instructor, trainer and a lifeguard. In addition, am also a children's author as well as a professional musician and puppeteer for kids with a book & CD for sale on Amazon called EMOTIONS Book & CD. Please know my parents were both teachers! I was born, raised and grew up in an educational environment. My teaching style is informal but strict. I like you to feel comfortable but not lazy so you can really improve! Just the right balance of experience and practice suited to your personality is what I can offer you! Let's have some fun and do some great learning at the same time! Adults, I invite you to join me on a learning adventure that is productive, engaging and comfortable. My students gain skills and abilities to utilize in a practical way with style! Children are fortunate to have exposure to acting, dancing, puppetry and other art modalities that are engaging in my classes, excel learning and are fun!
