Since then, I have worked in the nonprofit and education sectors, performing a variety of roles in both nonprofit management and in instructional capacities. As far as my teaching experience goes, I have taught within a general education classroom framework as well as smaller groups and on an individual basis. I also have experience working with students with disabilities and students who are more apt to thrive in small group and one-on-one educational experiences as opposed to whole-group. I am passionate about education and impacting the lives of young people, and it is important to me to find ways to empower my students with both knowledge and confidence in exhibiting that knowledge. I consider myself a lifelong student of History and am constantly challenging myself to know more and synthesize what I have learned for even deeper understanding of the past and present. In terms of my tutoring subjects, I am confident in my ability to instruct: - English/ Language Arts - Social Studies/ History - Middle School Math - Pre-Algebra I can also support students in their development of core skills such as goal-setting, time management, and organization. When I am not teaching, I enjoy reading and writing, watching documentaries, and listening to podcasts and a wide array of music.
