About Me

I was born and raised in Japan. Later, I moved to the United States. I graduated from the Unification Theological Seminary in New York. I hold a Master's degree in Religious Education. Recently, Americans have shown a significant interest in both Japanese and Korean culture. For this reason, I teach Japanese language and culture, as well as Korean language and culture. I have been teaching Japanese since 2007. I have taught Japanese at various institutions, including college and libraries. I began studying Korean in 1987, and I have been teaching it online since 2015. I have Korean friends with whom I collaborated to create a Korean language textbook. Since Korean grammar and vocabulary are quite similar to Japanese, I am well-equipped to teach the language. I always strive to tailor my instruction to each student's specific goals, ensuring that they can enjoy the learning process and continue their studies of the language and culture over the long term.
